2011 Custom Mahoney Chesapeake Deadrise 26
This vessel is a custom one off design following the Chesapeake Bay Deadrise style vessels constructed to be operated as working vessels on the Bay, and adept at handling the sea conditions present in the shallow, often choppy conditions present on Chesapeake Bay. Construction is hand lay-up fiberglass over wood. The Deadrise refers of the the hull shape and the hull form rising up from the keel to the chine, that determines the shape of the hull. The angle of Deadrise is typically measured at the transom, although becomes more pronounced and sharper at the bow.
Open Dory style layout with spray dodger forward, with centerline engine box, walk around cockpit with varnished rails, aft tiller steering.
